PE & CTE Textbook Adoption Process
December 2025: Textbook samples requested from the State.
December 2025-February 2026: Committee members will share information with fellow teachers at local schools; teacher and parent previews will be made public, and input will be gathered. The public input will be gathered via an online survey posted on the Collierville Schools’ page.
Early March 2026: committee will convene to take the oath, discuss findings, and vote on textbooks to adopt.
March 2026: Selections presented to the Board at monthly work session.
March 2026: Selections approved by the Board and then reported to the state.
Textbook Committee will be comprised of district level supervisors, textbook coordinator, a school administrator, and a parent representative. Teachers will submit choices to supervisors and administrator for approval.
