Collierville Cheerleading Dragons FAQ
Collierville Schools is excited to introduce the Collierville Cheerleading Dragons (CCD), a co-op cheer program for students from Collierville Middle School (CMS) and West Collierville Middle School (WCMS). The program will provide students in grades 6–8 the opportunity to cheer at various events and competitions.
The structure of the program will mirror the successful Collierville Dragon Dancers (CDD), a co-op pom program for CMS and WCMS students. The goal is for the cheer program to include multiple teams, providing expanded opportunities for students from both schools.

The Collierville Cheerleading Dragons is the official competitive cheer program for students from Collierville Middle School (CMS) and West Collierville Middle School (WCMS). Students who will attend Collierville Middle School or West Collierville Middle School for the 2026-27 school year may participate in the tryouts.

The head coaching position will be posted on the Collierville Schools Human Resources page after the conclusion of this year’s UCA Nationals in Orlando, Florida.

Tryouts will take place during the week of April 20, 2026. More details will be shared closer to the date.

The cheer season will run from April 2026 through February 2027, including practices, school/community events, and competitions.

The required cost for participation is TBD. This will cover uniforms, equipment, and other program expenses. Details will be provided before tryouts.

Yes, a parent information meeting will be scheduled prior to tryouts to review expectations, costs, and the selection process.

Participants will cheer at school and community events and compete in local and national competitions.
